Dr. Aninda Chatterji, is the Principal of GEMS New Millennium School, Dubai. It is a start-up CBSE K-12 school opened in April 2013 and already has 450 students of 27 nationalities with 10 nationalities of teachers. It is the first Microsoft Smart School in the region and it aims to deliver the CBSE curriculum differently. He was the Principal of an 8000-strong girls’ school in Sharjah from September 2010 to 2013, where he was in-charge of all aspects of academics, administration and business; and led a senior management team of 22 and 341 teachers. The school won four awards in 2012-13 for innovations and holistic education concluding with the Khalifa Award for Educational Excellence. From 2007 to 2009, he was the Principal of Pathways, Gurgaon and in-charge of its accreditation for the IB Diploma. Earlier in his career, he was a Senior Lecturer, Department of English Studies and Modern European Languages, University of Allahabad. From 1980 to 2005. He was also employed as Senior Lecturer at Sherubtse College, Bhutan from February 2002 till December, 2005 on deputation under the United Nations Colombo Plan for Technical Collaboration, formulating the academic structure of the Royal University of Bhutan.
